Mixed Bag.

A very mixed bag again this week. On Easter Monday, Gary Hargrave headed to Boston to run a marathon. He obviously didn’t over indulge on Easter eggs as he ran an absolutely cracking time of 3:13:44. Brilliantly well deserved mate!

Sunday was a day for 10k races – some headed to the beautiful Helmsley 10k while others pounded the streets of North Tyneside. Lyne Valentine was first FV60 at North Tyneside – as we have come to expect –  in a time of 45:39. Chris Dwyer was fifth overall at Helmsley, completing the trail 10k in 38:14 – this lad is currently on fire!

Last night was the annual guess your time 5m club run, an excellent chance to race, loosen legs for London or even just chat your way round. The winner is not the first home but the one who can pace the best, a task which most seem to find harder than running their little socks off! We await the results with bated breath!

Before aiming to run a well paced 5 miles!
