A Good Weekend’s Work.
There were a fair few miles covered over the weekend. Three Strollers tackled the Lakeland trails; David Langrish completed the 110k while Rachel Ball and Clare Baharie took on the 55k. David finished in around 20hrs 30mins – brilliant stuff David. Clare ran home in roughly 8hrs and Bally finished 4th lady in a little over 7hrs. Well done girls, ultra runners rocking it!
Susan Edwards was another ultra girl, taking part in the Pink Panther Ultra, and Michelle Donnelly got round 45 miles, her furthest distance yet, at Leeds Endure 24. Well done girls, grit and stamina shown in abundance.
Hamsterley Marathon is another pretty route and the McCormacks and Dansina headed over for this one. Luke finished 5th in 3:37 (shows the toughness of this one) and Hasina was 4th lady. Rumour has it that Katie was geographically challenged and Dan had a dnws (didn’t want to start) followed by a DNF!
John Corcoran was a half marathoner, this one around Rothbury. He was 4th V50′ finishing in 1:53:54. It’s a ‘bit upy downy’ so well done fella!
5k was the next distance with Bottoms Up being the popular choice. This was ran around Princess Ann Park. Hills, twists, turns, great atmosphere and all for a fiver. Can’t be robbed!
John Cook ran a PB at Tees 5k so yet another big well done to him!
Busy weekend without a doubt. Midweek races will follow soon.
