Relays Relays Relays
Club relays are now coming thick and fast, with three in short succession at the end of April and the beginning of May.

Wednesday 26th April – Neptune Relays, Sedgefield
This one is trails and paths around the Serpentine and the lake of Hardwick Country Park, Sedgefield.
It’s teams of four, running 1.7 miles each.
There’s a staggered start this year, with the men going off at 6.45pm and the women at 6.55pm.
Wednesday 3rd May – NEMAA Road Relays, Jarrow
Two laps of approximately 1.5k each on tarmac paths.
This one is teams of three and it’s for 35’s only; sorry young ‘uns.
6.30pm: V35 women and V65 men
7.15pm (approx.): Men 35 – 64
Wednesday 10th May – Gordon Smith Memorial Relays, Wallsend
This one is also teams of 3, running 2 miles each around a fast, flat course at West Allotment Country Park, with a combined start at 7.30pm.
One runner per team must be a vet (V40 for men and V35 for women in this case).
