Mid Week Catchup.

Last week was pretty busy midweek with Bridges of the Tyne and the Willow Miner Trail Race. We even had our very own Stroller racing in America.

On Tuesday, a fair few Strollers headed to Newcastle Quayside for a flat, and wet, 5 miler – Bridges if the Tyne. Mark Anderson crossed the line in 28:38 and was first Stroller. Ritchie Gerry was next, followed by our first lady , Wendy Chapman. Lyne Valentine was first FV60. Well done.

Dennis Hargrave was another prize winner; 2nd V70 at the Willow Miner run. His ‘never again’ turned swiftly to ‘canny race’ as he collected his beer prize. Well done Dennis, we all think you’re class!

Finally, the race we would all like to have been at, Long Beach 10k in California. Mick Armstrong took this one in whilst on his holibobs and only went and won it. He assures us it was a small field and a slow time but you’ve gotta be in it to win it – so well done Michael!
