Relays.

The ever popular Helton Relays took place on Saturday and, once again, our vet teams bagged the bling! The 2.2, not flat, two lapped course was well supported and Strollers had plenty to cheer about.

Our over 50 men walked away with bronze. First off was Ritchie Gerry, 13:25, followed by Auld Ken who ran 13:52; Bill Bowman was next, clocking 13:59 and Paul Dunlop ran the glory leg in 14:09. Brilliant running you lot, a bunch of golden oldies.

Not to be outdone, an extremely youthful V35 ladies team also brought home bronze. Ashleigh Bennett ran first leg in 14:21 followed by Aly Dixon, fastest Stroller in 11:53; the ever improving Jen Deighton was third runner (14:39) and Rachel Ball finished off, clocking 15:23. Excellent running girls!

We had some speedy running in all teams – shout out for Mark Anderson who was second fastest Stroller on the day, running his leg in 11:55.

Great running, great supporting and a great time had! Relays bring out team spirit and Strollers have that in abundance.
