P2P – another perfect day!

This year saw the biggest Pier to Pier event yet. Even more runners entered this increasingly popular event with entries full long before the event. Always a smooth and slick affair, we continue to build on lessons from previous years and yet another brilliant day was had by those involved.

The weather was kind, yet again, and the route was lined with encouragement from spectators and marshals.

We bagged 2nd place for the ladies with Wendy Chapman and 3rd place for the men with Mark Anderson, both delivering excellent running.

This is an event which is becoming a firm favourite for so many runners of all abilities and is supported in all areas by club members. It’s lovely to see so many step up to help our Race Director, Harry, and take on whatever is needed to make this the resounding success it has become. A massive pat on the back to everyone involved.
