Paula Paul, Edinburgh And Hardmoor Strollers – well done!
Recently, Luke Kennedy and Joanne Fenwick both took on the Hardmoors 110. Both finished in style. Luke is improving year on year, working hard and deserving of the 9th place he achieved in this Ultra. This young man dedicates a tremendous amount of his life to training and it is certainly reflected in his recent performances. Joanne just tootles off out there, rocks up to the start and quietly finishes what she set out to do, showing how well she juggles everything to achieve what she does. Massive congratulations to both Strollers.
Meanwhile, back on the roads, a number of Strollers headed North to Edinburgh. Our very own Lyne was 1st in her age category, completing the half in 1:41:30. Excellent Lyne, your house must be overflowing! Michael Dixon was first Stroller in the marathon in an extremely respectable 3:15:32 – class running matey, very well done.
Also in Edinburgh, Paula Paul ran her first marathon. Okay, loads did and do but this one was special for many reasons. Paula joined friends and family to run as part of Team Ewan. The Team ran to raise money for Dyspraxia Foundation and for Papyrus. This was in memory of Paula’s nephew, Ewan. Last year, Ewan took his own life at only 15. His amazing mam, Jo, wanted to create a legacy from this tragedy and Team Ewan was created. £6872.85 was raised. Paula ran in a time of 4:56:29. Amazing – be very proud for many reasons.
