19 Medals!

Once again, our oldies were truly golden as they scooped 19 medals at the NEMAA XC at Wallsend. It was a snowy, bright day with the sun certainly shining on Strollers.

The ladies were first, yes first (wow), in the team places with Wendy Chapman, 23:31, Ashleigh Bennett, 24:54, and Julie Pescod, 29:11, bringing in the gold. Wendy (just dropping by on her lunch break) and Ash were both also 2nd in their age categories. Silver medal for age category was also won by Dawn with Lyne and Sheila taking a bronze. Magnificent work ladies.

The auld lads were also spot on, with Ken, Mal and Richard bagging a team prize. David Langrish was 2nd V65 with Peter Myerscough getting 3rd. Well done. Onwards and upwards.

Who knew XC was such fun!
