Clazey’s Doorstep

This week, five local charities received £1064.00 each, thanks to the continued success of Clazey’s Doorstep events. From humble, but inspirational beginnings, this event has grown year upon year to  become the firm and successful fixture it now is.

Eerlier this week, Graeme delivered cheques and cash to Cancer Research, Macmillan, The Phoenix Unit, St Benedict’s Hospice and The Matfen Trust. The Strollers rounded the total up so that each charity received £1000 in the form of a cheque and each also were given £64 that was raised by a raffle ran, on the day, by our lovely friends from Macmillan.

Big thanks to organisers, marshals, supporters and runners – each of you played a role in this success. Here’s hoping that all of these charities continue to be given vital support and that we can, once again, play a part next year.
