Running Roundup.
The weekend started with the Durham Dales Challenge. A good number of Strollers headed to Wolsingham to take in the scenic route of a superbly organised LDWA event. Both routes, 17 and 32 miles, fed and watered the entrants with scrummy checkpoints along the way with, this year, pie and peas at the finish. This year, all Strollers finished, no one got lost and everyone returning on the bus was sober! This is a great event and highly recommended if you like a bit of undulation, lovely scenery and  being fed along the way.
On Sunday, several Strollers headed off for the Lambton 10k, another pretty one with a nice uphill finish. Well done to Wendy Chapman for finishing 2nd female.
The annual Anita Nott ladies only 5k rounds up this week’s update. This lovely evening event, which escaped the rain again, was well populated as usual – two bus loads of Strolletes with a few supporters too. This one is largely about the picnic and a good evening but there was still some great running. Well done girls!
