We went to Blaydon Races!

It was another sunny afternoon as, on the ninth of June, a merry band of a Strollers headed North to participate in the iconic Blaydon Races.

Again, our quality matched quantity as Aly Dixon bagged 1st place for the ladies in a superbly impressive 28:24. Only 4 seconds behind, Mark Anderson was 30th overall, 29th male. John Cook was next Stroller home, making it into the top 100 in 31:18, with Wendy Chapman following in 33:04, 18th lady and first V45-55. Well done to everyone who took part.

As the above shows, lots were out running over the weekend but a shout out to Rachel Ball who returned to South Africa to get her revenge from last year. She ran 54.5 miles, 6000ft of ascent, in 9:07.20. Canny going Bally!
