Road, trail and cycling.
A good variety of achievements this weekend. The majority of those racing headed to Thirsk for another championship race – a flat but windy ten miler. Once more, Andrew Forbes led the Strollers home, running a sub 60 in what can best be described as breezy conditions.  He’s coming along nicely is this young fella! Lyne Valentine picked up another prize to add to her collection, 2ndFV60 – well done pocket rocket!
On Saturday, a few ultra lads set off on the Hardmoors 55. Stu Percival was the first back to Guisborough, using this run as part of his training for the biggie he has looming.
Further afield, Oliver Rutson donned a Strollers vest for the first time to run Reading half. Good stuff Oliver!
Finally, to show how multi talented our runners are, Paul Dunlop cycled – and ran – superbly to win the V50 category in Sun City’s duathlon. A sunny Sunday morning saw a good turn out for the event which was well populated by Strollers – one for the diary if any one fancies dipping their toes into this type of event next year.
