Perfect weather for the ducks.
Lots of reccie runs have taken place recently in preparation for the club’s UU race and XC practices have been popular too. Not quite so much this weekend in the form of races but, as always, we have still had a couple of fabulous performances.
First up is David Langrish. David took part in the Autumn 100 Ultra. Not only did he complete this in an amazing 23:35, he also achieved the Special Buckle, awarded only to those who managed to finish within 24 hours. For those wishing to read more, head to David’s FB page where he has written his own race report. Great running David!
Gary Dunmore ran a great race at York Marathon. After focused training, all of Gary’s hard work paid off as he knocked 10 minutes off his PB. His time of 3:14:24 also means he has the GFA qualifying time for London Marathon, although getting a place is another matter. Excellent running fella, your vest shows there was blood and sweat!
A final well done to Mick Armstrong who braved the very wet Lakes on Saturday to run the Lakeland Trails. Sunday was a much kinder day, allowing Michael a warmer end to the Dirty Double. Well done Mick, hopefully you’ve dried out by now.
