Undaunted by Doris!

As storm Doris left us with a wet and windy Sunday, Strollers were undaunted and headed out to run.  There were fewer racing this week but our pocket rocket, Lyne Valentine, headed to Leeds for the Harewood House half marathon. A very muddy and extremely windy race, in a beautiful setting, saw Lyne run steep climbs and through muddy fields to finish in 1:54, a great time for this tough course. Well done Lyne!

A mini bus headed off to the Lakes for a recce from Howtown to Ambleside. The weather was atrocious but the smiles were still there. Fantabulous grit and thanks to FGT and Mick for ferrying everyone about and making it happen.

In stark contrast to the weather we battled, our Stroller down under raced Mirabenna 16k in glorious weather. Louise Noble was 1st female, breaking her own course record by over three minutes. Great to see you back on form after a long injury!
